In this 21st era, many advanced technologies created by humans. Technology is progressing and developing rapidly and makes it as if humans can’t live without technology which is indeed very useful for life if it is used wisely and vice versa will harm our lives if we really depend on technology that will make human less productive. Over time the Internet has developed rapidly because of its existence which greatly helps the human race. As a user that use the internet to support our lives, it is better if we understand the functions of applications and computers that are connected to the internet cause internet will be a danger to us if we are not careful in using it because the internet is a free world.

Network Applications
In the world of the Internet, we are familiar with network applications such as instant messages (IMs), text messages (TMs) and teleconferences. Instant messages are any form of real-time text-based communications from one person to a network (public or private) to any one or more people who share that network. The message will arrive instantaneously on the recipient's specific medium of communication (this can be a phone, smartphone, computer and laptop, or tablet).
But today’s human often use instant messages than text message cause text messages capability allowing users to send and receive short text messages typically fewer than 300 characters.

But today’s human often use instant messages than text message cause text messages capability allowing users to send and receive short text messages typically fewer than 300 characters.
And many people prefer to use instant messages (LINE, Whatsapp, Facebook Messanger, etc.) on more sophisticated features that people can also do voice mail or do teleconference. Humans also don’t need to meet directly to make assignments or if they have a sudden interest to gather they just need to create a chat room to gather everyone.
Social Network and Information Sharing
We can also take advantage of social media to information sharing like Wiki, YouTube even crowdsourcing to spread benefits and get profits. Wiki is contained in a lot of information and anyone can contribute there, then now people use YouTube to looking for videos who can give human information or only find something entertaining for them.
Social networks like Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram to connect with others, but we have to keep even every social network site has privacy but they still have security issues that can harm us at any time if there is data leakage.

Three types of sharing resources on the internet
1. Peer to peer, file-sharing allows users to share files by making their hard drives available to other users than posting them on a central server. Making hard drives are available to share files for other users, Steinmetz and Wehrle have said that their books that are peer-to-peer mechanisms can be used to get access to all types of distributed resources and offer new possibilities for Internet-based applications.
2. Grid computing, sharing processing power rather than data sharing. Typically, a grid works on various tasks within a network, it is also capable of solving problems that are too big.
3. Cloud Computing, resource comes from the internet rather than a specific source.
Things to remember for online survival tips
- Don't share emails and passwords
- Protect your privacy
- Cross-check online information sources
- Be aware and awake
